GHOST+COW is a Brooklyn-based directing duo comprised of John Carlucci and Brandon LaGanke. Finding their start making bizarre music videos and provocative short films, the duo’s work has uniquely evolved to include commercial and branded content, some of which have won major advertising awards such as a Silver Pencil for Direction at the One Show and best branded web film at ThinkLA’s Emerging Director’s Showcase. Their work for Johnnie Walker, which aired during the 2017 Grammy’s, took home top prize at the U.S. Hispanic Idea Awards. Their most recent short film for FOX and MARS won a Bronze Lion at the 2018 Cannes Lions, as well as a Silver Lion for their Home Depot Pinterest campaign. They also won a Silver Promax award for their IFC and Portlandia TVC.
Their work has screened at film festivals across the world including six times at SXSW, covered on the Late Night circuit such as Conan, Seth Meyers and Stephen Colbert, and across dozens of influential online and print publications.
Recognized as SHOOT Magazine’s ‘New Directors To Watch,’ GHOST+COW have continued to inhabit new spaces in the industry including the world’s first aerial pornography with their viral film “Drone Boning.”
They just wrapped production on their first feature film entitled “Out of Service,” which stars Charlie Tahan (Ozark) and Kara Hayward (Moonrise Kingdom).
